The Challenge

Striving to improve user experience, increase search visibility, and boost conversions, the online retailer faced a significant obstacle: their BigCommerce store was on the outdated Blueprint framework.

In 2016, BigCommerce made a significant leap forward by upgrading its platform to the cutting-edge Stencil framework. Still on Blueprint, BlueSkyScrubs.com risked losing critical site functionality and prevented them from accessing the latest features released by BigCommerce for its merchants.

Custom Mega Menu

Blue Sky Scrubs wanted something that stood out from the standard menu design found on most ecommerce websites, so we delivered a custom-developed Mega Menu for BigCommerce. This not only enhances the user experience by providing faster navigation, even with large media and images, but also offers additional CTA space to highlight current promotions.

The new menu is also linked to the back office, making it easier to update compared to their previous hard-coded menu.

Easy Popup Login

This simple popup window allows users to log in from any page, skipping the multi-page login process native to BigCommerce. A great add-on to ensure customers don’t lose their place in the purchase pipeline.

Category Page Enhancements

Custom feature enhancements on the Category Page give shoppers an easier way to navigate and sort the products they're searching for.

A custom-developed horizontal menu on the Category Page provides shoppers a with clean, intuitive navigation for sorting products by color, size, price, and other criteria. 

An additional list view option provides shoppers with an alternate view to the standard card option. Shoppers can view more details on the Category Page, like color options and product descriptions.

Swatch Options on Category Page

This Swatch Options on Category Page add-on enables customers to preview product swatch options directly from the Category Page. It's an effortless way to showcase multiple colors or styles of a product, with the swatch options appearing as a row of clickable thumbnails beneath relevant items on the page.

Product Thumbnail Options Swap

This customization lets shoppers preview different product style options within the Product page. It works with existing Product Options and Product Option Rules and requires no merchant setup.

Instagram Highlights Section

Blue Sky Scrubs now has a dedicated section on their homepage to highlight recent Instagram posts. Users can click on any post that will take them right to their IG page.

Size Charts on Product Page

With the Size Guide add-on, customers can easily access brand and product-specific size charts from the Product Page. Customers can click a link or button to see the full chart in a modal popup, giving them the sizing specifics they need without making them navigate away from the Product Page.
